Mother's Day is coming and it is a very difficult day for one of three reasons: (1) you are preparing to be a mother, (2) you are praying to be a mother, or (3) you are past the time for this to be fulfilled naturally.
Psalm 56:8 says, "Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?"
God knows the sleepless nights that you have endured and He has heard every cry and He has collected every tear that has stained your pillows. Not one tear escapes His watchful care because He personally understands how you feel. He knows the depths of your pain, He understands your hurt, and He is ready to hear, He is ready to help, and He is ready to offer lasting hope.
Psalm 34:18 says, "The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
For a lady, the desire to be a mother is both NATURAL and ADMIRAL. It is a wonderful gift from God that comes with a tremendous responsibility. While young ladies may indeed look forward to being a mother, your first call is to prepare to be a godly mother. While ladies may indeed pray that God would give them a child, there must first be the development of a trust that knows that God's way is best and a humble submission to His will. While older ladies might not have been granted the opportunity to give birth to a child, there must be a rejoicing in the goodness of God and a pursuit of God's will. Your desire to mother isn't lost; it just needs to be expressed in a slightly different direction.
God has equipped many people with the ability to put helpful thoughts in writing to be a help and blessing to others who are going through similar seasons and situations. We have done our best to include some blog posts that we thought might be encouraging and helpful to you.
