As of right now, we are planning to continue with our regularly scheduled mid-week service tomorrow evening at 7:00. We believe that during these times the church has a great opportunity to preach the gospel and to share the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
We are encouraging anyone (child or adult) who may be sick to please stay home and get well. We also encourage those who are 65 years of age or older and those with a weakened immune system to do the same. In addition, if you feel that you would be better off staying home, we certainly understand.
Please note that we will be broadcasting our services through our conference number: 276.696.6805.
During tomorrow’s service, we will not include our handshaking and greeting time nor will we be passing the offering plates. An offering plate will be available for the collection of tithes and offerings as you enter the auditorium. You can also give by text (276.285.5502) or by visiting https://jbc.breezechms.com/give/online.
Pastoral care is also available. If we can pray with you or meet a need for you (pick up of groceries, mail, or prescriptions) please don’t hesitate to let us know.
As we continue forward, please note that changes will be made as necessary. Our decision to continue as normal is primarily based on the fact that there are no confirmed cases of the corona-virus (COVID-19) in southwest Virginia currently. Should that change, we will adjust as necessary.
Above all this, PLEASE PRACTICE LOVE AND RESPECT AND PRAY. Every person that you come in contact with needs all three.
Proverbs 3:25-27 says, “Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.”
2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
